I don't know if people here remember that, but this blog here - former known as Prussiapudding - was mostly Hetalia - especially Denmark x Prussia ( DenPru ) focused since 14 years now.
Hetalia made me love history, especially Prussian history, the history of Friedrich II. - history of my home Schleswig-Holstein and the danish-prussian conflicts around it. It may sound like a silly reason to be interested in something but for me it made perfect sense and I love that this stupid little Manga/Anime made me so obsessed about the history of my ancestors.
So now I am a TAD BIT OLDER lol and still interested in Prussian history. I had my oral-exam about Friedrich II. and Otto von Bismarck for the "Abitur" back then, bought lots of literature and told my friends about this weird passion.
And then - in 2024 my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Sans Souci castle - I always wanted to go there but nobody was that interested in it to join me.
Me, being totally excited and over all clouds in heaven with my heart, didn't even expect the most obvious and I laughed so much when he proposed to me in front of Sans Souci.
And last year we had our beautiful Rococo-Themed Wedding under the statement "Sans Souci - Without Sorrow" mixed with a little vampire flair, because the dark vibe is totally him.
So yeah, somehow this old interest of mine, that I only got because of a silly little Anime, grew into something very important in my life that it even influenced the most beautiful day of my life and I am super happy and grateful for it. I would've never expected something like this happening back then when I was just sharing and drawing weird Fanart of some Anime Characters for you all.
Since a few weeks I see Hetalia pop out more often on tiktok and twitter and it makes me happy that this anime is still loved by others and not just a cringe old thing we used to watch when we were young and dumb. I'm glad people still think it's funny and that it makes people interested in history and different cultures all around the world!
