Hoppy New Year: The puddle frogs are named after the fact that they lay their eggs in puddles. Some species vary greatly in pattern and coloration, making species identification difficult.
Today’s New Friends from Sama Jaya Nature Reserve in Borneo are a pond full of very cute Puddle Frogs (Occidozyga laevis), many beautiful Brown Marsh Frogs (Pulchrana baramica) and a Four-lined tree frog (Polypedates leucomystax)!
Our time in Borneo has come to an end but we have one more extra-special frog to share tomorrow 😊🐸
Today's amphibian. The prompt was 'love' but Feb. 14th gives me the Big Sad so I just drew this guy hanging out in a puddle.
