Lunar puddles amuses me a lot so I wanted to doodle a design for him!

Thought it would be fun to design him as a nichling! I’ll leave some thoughts on that under the read more but thought it would be kinda fun for him to be extremely venomous and no one really knows because A he’s a pacifist for the most part, and B no one’s that familiar with some of the local species let alone the wide variety in nichlings.

Here is what in game puddles would most likely look like. He has a water body with poison fangs, wether antenna, fishers tail, webbed feet, claw, and nimble fingers!

It’s been mentioned before but Puddles does come from the moon that they are all on. So with how everything is a waste land now and it got me thinking about everything from a world building (environment building?) standpoint within the context of game niche!

First of all I think most food that has survived is poisonous or underwater. So nichlings who live in these areas have shifted to similarly either being poisonous/venomous with traits like scorpion tail, poison fangs or toxic body or having traits that allow them to safely live and gather food in underwater areas such as the water body, gill head, webbed feet/hands, nimble fingers, claws, fishing tail, etc or both in puddles case!

I also like to think that the villagers that have been seen around could possibly be some nichling packs. Specifically ones with toxic body traits since they can be bright green as well as yellow, blue, and purple. though I do think the villagers aren’t the only nichlings I just think due to the whole planet/moon destruction they might just be rarer. Might also explain the whole puddles calling himself a cat and mentioning their are others like him but he’s just not seen many of them thing.

Speaking of which I think that for the most part larger predators/ biome specific predators have largely died off due to prey shortages and their home biomes being destroyed. So things like the man eating plants, apes, balance bears, and even bearyenas have either died off or become a lot more rare. The one exception to this idea I think is the Blue birds (any maybe also things like the dodomingos) are able to survive because they could in theory fish.

Played Wavetale earlier this week after getting it on sale a few months back after Puddleshine suggested it on an episode and it was SO good! So I drew Puddleshine as Sigrid!!!

So my friend Gatuno has been play the long dark on stream and Puddleshine and I have been tagging along for the ride, and we are continuing here again soon! So I doodled something for the occasion.
