"Kintu Newen" is the second album by Puel Kona, a Mapuche band from Neuquén, Argentina that fuses rock, ska, cumbia, hip hop and traditional Mapuche music. The title, which means "looking for strength" in Mapuzugun, reflects the band's commitment to cultural resistance and the vindication of their identity. The lyrics, which combine Mapuzugun and Spanish, address issues such as extractivism, Mapuche spirituality and the struggle for land (and a tribute to the Palestinian cause).
