so proud of the child I know who requested that I add "the kitty cat" (specifically nyano-sensei) and fireworks to their play pants (stained or holey clothes now designated for playing, think the sound of music) Said child picked the color of each firework, and asked for the lower nyanko sensei to have the heart eyes. Anime North prep!  I'm redoing the cape for my Abyss Watcher!  PAX East last March was so windy and so absurdly cold that the weather literally blew most of the paint off my cape!  Not even joking.  Apparently puff paint gets brittle at low temperatures, and I did most of the shading with character powder (fake dirt), which has decent adhesion usually, except when it's ridiculously windy XD Anyway, here's what it looks like now.  Approximately what it looked like before it got wrecked by mean old Mr. Winter.  But this time, I used more paint in addition to the fake dirt so hopefully there will be less fixing next time.  It also smells like hippies because I randomly threw in some incense ash because it's free and the right color.

Sigils and Puff Paint

For any other blind witches out there, try using puff paint to make sigils. It's easy to feel and pretty permanent. The dry time could charge it and so could touch once dry. Braille isn't what I think of when I imagine sigils. But maybe try that too

I was presented with another stained shirt and asked for "the kitty cat"(nyano-sensei) and flowers by the small one who owns it. The stain ended up mostly covered by the enormous cat. It is a lot of fun throwing art on these play clothes (stained or holey clothes now designated for playing, think the sound of music)

Said child picked the colors I was to use for the flowers. These are turning out to be pretty fun, I hope I get to do more. Natsume Yuujinchou. made with puff paint.

More Abyss Watcher spam!

I felt like I was committing a terrible, terrible crime when I abyssed up the beautiful hat that I had spent weeks getting all smooth and shiney. But in the end, the result was worth it!

I started with black puff paint to make all the 3d details. After that was dry I went over the whole thing with black acrylic to darken areas around the abyss gunk. And it's still shiny, which looks kind of awesome, contrasting with the black details.
