Hi, I had a couple of questions about the rp rules. In terms of contests, what cannon should the contests be based on, that of the anime or the game, essentially whether it would be two pokemon working together in a performance or just one.
Hello and good evening! Thank you for your interest in our group. There are currently no rules about how one should write a Pokemon Contest, but I recommend that you write it as realistically as you can.
In this case, I think the anime does a good job with Contests, as it incorporates another way of bonding and Training with your Pokemon without the “usual” aspect of it. It would also be pretty difficult to incorporate game mechanics in writing, as well. I also don’t think that Contests would be limited to just one Pokemon, especially in larger towns, so I think it’s fine to assume that some types of Contests have different rules.
I hope I answered your question, my friend! If you’re interested in roleplaying with us and have your focus be on contests, that would be something interesting indeed. I know a certain Lisia would be thrilled for another contest star in our midst. If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask!
