It's time for... COMIC BOOK PULL LISTS!
So after twenty-three years of life, I finally live in an area with a comic shop. This means I am going to spend copious amounts of my paychecks there, not only to support the owner of said comic shop (who is a really cool - I mentioned I love Francis Manapul's artwork on The Flash and he gave me a giant 3 foot piece of promo art for The Dastardly Death of the Rogues off the wall - FORREAL!!), but so I can support the industry I love (even if it's only a little!).
What this also means is - I GET TO MAKE A PULL LIST. WOO! For the month of July, I only have three titles on it but when I go to pick up my July comics, I am going to add some more. Here's what it's looking like:
Batman: Li'l Gotham (2 words: Dustin Nguyen!!)
Earth 2 (maybe? if money permits)
Red Lanterns (again, if money permits)
Although I like trades more than I like single issues (I am the worst when it comes to putting single issues back into sleeves and storing single issues is a nightmare for me), I am pretty excited to finally be able to buy single issues as they come out. I might hold off on JL & Saga though, and wait for those to become trades. We'll see!
Also, I realize there are no Batfamily New 52 titles on my list which pains me a little, but I can wait for those to hit trades. And I can borrow Nightwing/Batgirl/Birds of Prey/Batman & Robin/Batman Detective Comics/Catwoman/Batwing/pretty much everything except Talon from my brother until he moves. Then I'll have to decide what I'm going to get every month. Hmm....
