Last fall we embarked on our first US headline tour in support of our second full-length record titled Low Tides. This new record was a shift in sound for us. We explored darker tones sonically, slower brooding tempos, moody and spacious arrangements, and lyrically I think I finally reached a place where I stopped using songs to blame others and instead used them to shine a light on myself and my own faults no matter how difficult. We went out and toured for three months straight across the US, Europe, and UK playing these songs that were inspired by pain and sadness. Funny thing is, the more I sang these songs, the happier it made me. Watching people digest the record over the course of the three months after release and slowly but surely learn every word was exactly what I needed. Within Low Tides there are near countless mentions of the concept of "Letting Go". That record and the subsequent tours were exactly what I needed to stop living in my own past and start focusing on a brighter future. That brings us to today: announcing our upcoming summer tour. We're flipping this record cycle on its head and putting together a unique This Wild Life performance that is unlike anything we've ever done before. This summer I'll be singing sad songs with a smile on my face, because through these experiences we've shared I've come out on the other side stronger and happier than ever before. We want our fans to feel the same way, so this tour we will be getting you all involved in the performance itself. From playing instruments ad singing along, all the way down to production, you will be a part of the show. We will be playing songs from the Heart Flip EP, Clouded, as well as Low Tides, and we would like to invite you to join us for these special performances in beautiful venues across the United States (with a couple stops with our friends in Canada).
