This recipe for beer-braised pulled ham is a tasty and savory change from regular pulled pork. The flavors blend together while the ham is slowly cooked, making it tender and juicy that goes well on sandwiches or over mashed potatoes.
Ingredients: 4 lbs boneless ham. 1 onion, sliced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup beer. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tbsp Dijon mustard. 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 1/4 tsp salt.
Instructions: Place sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the boneless ham on top of the onions and garlic. In a bowl, mix beer, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, thyme, black pepper, and salt. Pour the mixture over the ham. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the ham is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork. Once done, shred the ham using two forks and mix it with the cooking liquid in the slow cooker. Serve the pulled ham on sandwiches or over mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
