Orderit.ca Lee Chen Asian Bistro Delivery
Last night I ordered dinner from Lee Chen Asian Bistro via Orderit.ca
For starters I ordered Lee Chen’s Pulled Pork Bao. I was very impressed with this dish. The cost of Lee Chen is deceiving for how great the quality is. The Pulled Pork Bao only costs $6.95 and I would have gladly paid over 10 dollars for this dish. The pulled pork is so tender it nearly melts in your mouth, combined with a delectable BBQ sauce the pillowy soft steamed bun and shredded lettuce these little wonders are a breeze to devour. Three sizeable bites per Bao, I could kill 10 of these little gems in one sitting. One order comes with 2 pieces and a side ramekin of their house dipping sauce that is rich, creamy and packed with spices that balance the sweetness of the pulled pork perfectly. This dish is the definition of a delicacy.
As another starter I ordered Lee Chen’s Green Onion Pancake because one of my foodie weaknesses is Green Onion Cakes. I can’t get enough of the sweet yet salty balance that Lee Chen embodies between the thin layers of this pancake. Lee Chen uses scallions which are harvested earlier than regular onions and have a milder taste which makes them the ideal choice for this green onion cake. With a perfectly pan fried outer crunch and many thin layers of soft, sweet and salty pancake, these cakes are extremely addictive. At the cost of $4.25 per order it only makes sense to order multiples, especially if you plan to share.
As my main meal I decided to try Lee Chen’s Crystal Pork Belly Combo and ordered chow mein noodles instead of rice for only $1.00 extra. The noodles were cooked perfectly, not too soft not too crunchy with a mild flavour of asian vegetables that would pair well with any dish. The combo came with steamed broccoli and a pickled shredded vegetable Asian slaw that when mixed with the noodles adds another level of flavour to the dish. The wow factor to this dish is obviously the Slow Cooked Pork Belly. Slow cooked with rock sugar and soy sauce this pork literally melts in your mouth with an explosion of flavour. Lee Chen’s Slow Cooked Pork Belly is apparently a famous Zhejiang Dish and rightfully so. Lee Chen has mastered this famous dish and although I have never been to Zhejiang I imagine it tastes exactly like Lee Chen’s version. This dish is flawless and delicious and for only $10.95 I felt as if I were transported to this eastern coastal province of the Peoples Republic of China. The term Stay-cation takes on a whole new meaning when you can taste some of the best flavours from around the world in the comfort of your own home.
I will defiantly be ordering from Lee Chen Asian Bistro via Orderit.ca on a regular basis. Adding this restaurant to my list of Toronto’s Best Delivery! #DeliveryNomz
