fern, what makes me happiest: a day off work when I have no deadlines to meet or errands to do and it’s sunny and warm and I can do simple & relaxing things like walk and listen to music, grab coffee somewhere and read in the park, etc. Going on adventures/exploring new places with my boyfriend. Okay, this is totally not random because it’s been done lots of times, but I have yet to see an Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind AU for Castle and even if I no longer watch the show I still peruse fics and I’m just like, please, pleaaaaase, fic writers get on that ASAP.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites. (And V - Which character do you relate to most?)

Melinda May from Agents of SHIELD - I’ve written miles and miles of tag meta about May, but what I love most about her is how she’s so laconic, as a character, and in how she deals with her emotions. They kind of framed May’s emotional turmoil with Skye’s earthquake powers - where May was teaching her to repress them and it just ended up in the latter passing out from ruptured capillaries and muscles because she wasn’t stopping them - she was just directing them inwards. And that tugs at my heart place every time. I mean, being all zen and shit about your problems is great and all, but sometimes you have to just let it out, so to speak.Lin Beifong from The Legend of Korra - HA. Now that I think about it, Lin is actually the Melinda May of the Avatarverse. Seemingly stoic. Laconic. Is a supporting character at most but has a verbose following here on tumblr who glean so many insights and great meta from what little is implied on the show. Extremely badass. Middle aged. Wow. I hope you find the time to give ATLA and LOK a chance, babe. So you can understand my slight obsession with this universe hahaha.Kate Beckett from Castle - Duh. I can’t think of anyone else right now haha but I think it’s safe to say our early friendship was hinged on our feelings about Katherine Houghton Beckett and how we both watched her grow and eventually marry her favorite writer like I still legitimately don’t understand how their ship exists. And so many other reasons but I think she’s a character you never get over and she just stays with you even if you hate what’s happening in present canon lol

Hey Reese ( @pullingpaniccords ) it was finally sunny today so I took Alex for a tour. She’s so photogenic! First I took her to the IU Sample Gates (my fav photo). Then I showed her the huge limestone sign they just finished building. Then we stopped by Memorial Stadium, and lastly a bit of Americana, we went for ice cream at The Chocolate Moose.
