ALSO she wasn’t directly involved with Alex’s use. she was an indirect contribution to it, but she wasn’t an active participant like she was with Nicky. also also I think… if the addiction was as strong a battle for Alex as it is for Nicky she’d feel guilty for enabling it in her too? but Alex’s real vice has never really been the heroin. it’s just kind of a side effect of HER real issues. whereas it’s THE issue for Nicky. if that makes sense?
