Clandestine
I’m apalled,
you got me come to a sudden halt.
like a virus I unconsciously installed,
that I’d never ever see as a fault
You called me in like a beacon,
pointing, telling me that you’re home.
that made me think of eggs and bacon,
with the smell of a comforting old musty tome.
and every time I get to be unswept,
of the idea of how clandestine this has to be,
something like this has to be kept,
hidden, locked and never to be free,
But for now, as the sun sets,
up until the sun would brightly shine,
I’d cherish our moments like little vignettes
because for a brief moment I get to call you “mine”
