Took my little guys to the park today! They did so well, it was their first time outside with the harnesses!

It was sunny and warm but the wind was a bit cold so we went home after about half an hour, but it was still a good trip and they've been sleeping ever since.

Meet pumpkin and crash! Welcome home guys!

If anyone has advice on how to introduce them to my dog send it my way! So far they only meet through the bars of the cage, im trying to take it very slow but poor saoirse is jealous. Long walks and fetch games are a must to keep her happy right now especially, so I can ensure my ferrets are getting enough free roam time!

They were covered in pee stains and the cage was filthy, however I cleaned them up and they're doing good now. Pumpkin is the brown one, a shoe biter and chaotic as all hell. Crash is the lighter one, he likes toys a bit more and is more bitey but a bit less crazy.

Ferret update!

I leave the cage open when I am home, which is a long time throughout the day. I am always around to supervise any interactions they have with saoirse, although mostly she ignores them which is awesome.

They haven't slept outside of their cage until today, though. They usually go back inside their open cage to sleep.

Here they have a spot behind the couch only accessible via tube, so inaccessible for the dog. This is one of a few ferret specific places they can hide and feel safe.

I'm glad they're finally sleeping here as it means they feel more comfortable and are settling in well!
