Just remembered they actually remade Resonance of Fate so you can easily play it on modern consoles and steam. If you're a fan of rpgs and want a truly unique experience, give it a try, it's kinda awkward and convoluted at first but it'll click after a while.
I'm a huge mahou shoujo fan so I keep forgetting people don't know the genre other than like Sailor Moon. If you're interested in the genre I personally recommend Symphogear, Heartcatch Pretty Cure, Madoka and Flip Flappers.
Sure, three of those are seen as deconstructions of the genre and doesn't technically represent its main themes but they just show how varied mahou shoujo can actually be.
Not for nothing but if you're looking for a horror game to play this spoopy season and you've somehow never played it, Haunting Ground on the PS2 is super good, still holds up, and stars the best good boy in all of gaming, That Dog! (Also known to some as Hewie)
Wanna try something more obscure to play that's not strictly a horror game but still got spooky vibes and is something I guarantee none of you ever played? Trapt also on PS2 lmao
You play as this lady and you're being chased by monsters and you have to set up these Home Alone style Rube Goldberg traps to murder them before they murder you, very very fun once you learn each trap's effects and timing to set them up and knock'em down
And hey if you also like weird violent superhero media I can almost guarantee you haven't seen They Call Me Jeeg Robot, I ain't gonna lie there's a few fucked up scenes, but the villian's scene was incredible. I recommend it.
Watched three mockumentary horror films tonight but the best one by far was called Digging Up the Marrow, very cool, I don't wanna give anything away but if you're into horror films and monster movie culture check it out.
Hey you guys want some game recommendations? If you've been enjoying RE9 and want some more of the same vibes then try out Resident Evil Gaiden for the GBC, very easy to get your hands on if you know how, and if you want an indie game then you gotta play Evil Tonight, very good but remember to conserve ammo and heals cause this is an unforgiving game but very worth it.
