Ya know what I take it all back this game is great it's just the first 20-ish hours or so are wicked slow but then everything opens up. I've not played a JRPG with this much restraint to hold off core mechanics since Dragon Quest 4.

I can't decide if I like Fantasian Neo or not on one hand I love the diorama environments the game looks super pretty and reminds me of when games had to use static pictures to look good. On the other the entire gimmick of the game is stowing away encounters until you're forced to fight them and BY GAWD these fights take longer than the years I've lived on this blue pearl.

It shows that full blown RPG experiences can be had on mobile hardware with simplistic controls but also these long ass fights are a time vampire I can't decide if I can recommend this one or not
