I cannot stop cracking up over this one!! I've read several of Ryan Hyatt's works, so I knew going in I was going to love it - I just didn't know what I was going to love about it. That's one of the great things about reading his work - will it be contained within one genre? Or a blend of 2 or more? "Punk Ain't Undead" is a delightful tale of a band whose members have reunited to play a gig together - something that had not been done for decades. I enjoyed seeing what each member had made of themselves since they'd parted, more importantly what they *thought* of themselves. There's a virus that has slowly taken root in Los Angeles, but folks don't seem to be taking it very seriously. In fact, the inebriated band starts jamming and when they pause for a break, realize the crowd has "decayed" somewhat in their response to the music....lol! Who knew that being full of crap could one day save your life? Well, it's a welcome relief to this girl!
