Chloe sighed and stood up. She walked up behind Rachel and zipped her dress up. She kissed the back of Rachel's neck softly. "Well the dress is hella ugly but you look beautiful baby. Yes I'll get dressed." Chloe let go of Rachel's waist and trudged to the closet to put on her dress paints and white button down. "Rach will you help me with my tie?" Chloe called from the closet. "I can't seem to tie it and it's pissing me off."

Rachel let a sigh escape her lips as Chloe said that her dress was ugly and to be honest...Chloe was right, it wasn’t the nicest dress in the world and emerald green certainly was NOT her color. She sighed and held her hair up to let Chloe pull the zipper up. She straighten up the dress at the front, frowning at how annoying it was due to it being strapless and slightly too big for her. “I am in serious danger of a boob slip...” She admitted.

She heard Chloe’s voice coming from the closet and frowned as she turned around and padded her way across the room, popping her head into the closet to catch a glimpse of Chloe trying her best to tie her tie. She let a small laugh escape her lips as she moved over stood in front of Chloe, taking hold of the tie to begin tying it. “You look pretty cute in a suit...” She commented with a smile spreading onto her face.

Chloe smiled and stroked Max's cheek. "Well you should have gotten here faster any ways. My cuddles are the best when you're having a bad day baby. Try to remember that." Chloe smiled and kissed back softly. She ran her thumb over Max's lower lip. "You're so beautiful. How did I get so lucky?"

Max looked at Chloe with soft, adoring eyes, and smiled while they kissed. Her lips slightly parted as Chloe’s thumb ran over them, a blush adorning her cheeks. “You got lucky?” she asked quietly, then lifted her hand and put it through Chloe’s hair, her pace slow as she savored the new touch, “I came over here today petrified of telling you... And in a few minutes my best friend became my... Girlfriend...” Max paused, blushed harder, and finished, “I think I’m really lucky... You’re... You were always so beautiful... I look exactly like I did when I was twelve...” There was a slight laugh in her voice.

Chloe chuckled and sat up. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Do you wanna lay down with me or we can sit like this? What do you prefer? I just want you to be comfortable Max. We can take things really slow. Like at a snails pace if you want." Chloe stroked Max's cheek and kissed her again softly. She was quickly becoming addicted to Max's lips.

Max was about to answer Chloe when she kissed her again, and Max smiled and kissed her back. She lifted her hands and cupped Chloe’s cheeks again, holding her close, and continued planting tender kisses between their lips. “I want this,” she whispered, not opening her eyes, just kissing Chloe. She let the kisses become a little harder and a little quicker by a minuscule amount, but felt the adrenaline pumping in her heart.

Chloe stiffened when she saw what Max was looking at. She quickly put the pictures away in her drawer. "So Max what's going on? You seemed pretty upset on the phone? And you like you've been crying? So tell me what's wrong?" Chloe turned around and leaned against the desk looking down at Max. She bit her lip and tried to figure out what was wrong with her best friend.

Max stiffened even more as soon as Chloe caught her tears and called her out on them. She scrubbed more at her face, making it redder, and cleared her throat while Chloe put the photos away in her drawer. “N-No, I’m fine...” Max muttered, and kept her eyes down on the surface of the desk. “Sorry... I’m fine, Chlo...”

Chloe chuckled and cradled Max's face in her hands. "Hey look at me. I was gonna ask you Friday but be my girlfriend? It'll be easier than Friday. No pressure this weekend you know?" Chloe stroked Max's cheek bones and smiled as she looked into the freckled girls eyes. "You're so beautiful Max. I'm so glad you told me how you felt. Now this date, I'm picking you up from Blackwell and you're spending the night. No arguments."

Max looked when Chloe asked, although she looked terrified and ashamed. Her eyes looked back and forth between Chloe’s. She seemed so sure about everything... It made her feel anxious and calm at the same time. Max smiled and nodded. “I... Want to be. Yes. Please...” she said, a little sheepishly. “Will your mom and David be cool with that...? If we’re... Y’know, dating?”

Chloe tilted her head and deepened their kisses. She was content to let Max take control. She ran her hands down Max's sides and settled her hands on the shorter girls hips. "I want this too. So bad you bad you have no idea. I want you so hella bad." Chloe pressed her lips against Max's again and licked the girls lower lip softly.

Max felt another whine pulse through her mouth, especially as Chloe touched her sides and grabbed onto her hips. The words that Chloe was saying were going to drive her absolutely crazy. “Wait,” she said, between kisses, even though she didn’t want them to stop, and she broke their gaze and looked at Chloe, eyes flicking back and forth. “Want me like... How?” she breathed.

Chloe frowned. "Scoot over Max. My body heat will keep you warm. After you fall asleep I'll make you some soup when you wake up." Chloe laid down behind Max and wrapped her arms around the girl pulling her closer. She tucked Max's head under her chin. She pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I've got you baby. I'll have mom pick up some medicine for you ok?"

Max looked up at Chloe, sighed, and wiggled her body in the bed to make some more room for Chloe. ‘Thank dog her bed is huge already...’ she thought. As Chloe settled in, Max wrapped her arms around her and pulled her tight, shivering against her. “I’m fine.... You don’t need to make Joyce go through all that trouble... I’ll be okay...” she continued to argue, lightly, and closed her eyes, listening to Chloe’s heartbeat as it pummeled through her ears. “Your heart sounds good...” she muttered.

Chloe frowned again. "Max you can talk to me about anything. Would it make it better if you drew it or took a picture or something? I can't help you if I don't know the problem. Please Max I'm worried about you. Just tell me please." Chloe begged getting down on her knees. She was worried about her best friend. "I'm scared there's something really wrong Max. Did I ever tell you how scared I was when I realized that I liked girls? I was terrified to tell you. Mom was easy but you I was scared."

Max flinched as soon as Chloe went to memory lane. “You didn’t tell me,” Max said, almost defensively, “You let me guess. And I guessed only because of everything you said about her...” Max’s eyes made a small dart to the drawer that Chloe had just put all of her pictures into, and, trying her best to put on a brave face, she put her hands out and covered Chloe’s, squeezing them in her palms. Chloe’s hands were soft. Max tried not to get excited about a touch that, in all honesty, shouldn’t have meant anything. “There’s nothing really wrong... I’m just...” Max said, and felt herself wanting to recoil from Chloe’s eyes, “I’m just... Stupid.”
