Ok so trans Steve transitions during the war, gets the serum, and gets frozen in ice for almost 70 years. When he wakes up, he learns that the fact that he’s trans was somehow forgotten by the historians and after learning a bit about the current state of trans rights movement (not only US but also the world) he decides that however nice it would be to be completely stealth, he can use his status as a world known superhero to help trans people everywhere. He calls for a conference. Thoughts?
steve would, he’s a trans icon and he lets the world know so other trans kids out there can look at the news and see captain america in the headlines and know that hey, cap is like me. and cap is a hero, the hero. so steve proudly comes out and comes to pride with a trans t-shirt and is very open and vocal about his gender, and when people are assholes about it, he shuts them The Fuck Down. he lets all the trans and nonbinary people out there know that he’s there, he’s looking out for them, and they are good and strong. and if cap can do it, they can do it too
anyway yeah i’m emotional, trans steve is So Good and i love him being completely and unabashedly open and proud and an icon
