oh god I'm sorry, I misunderstood the text when I read it. If the board is actually not moving, the only missing parameter is the lenght of the objects. As the 50N object will exerce a stronger force on the board, it has to be halfway and the lighter one on the extrem end of it, thus the 50N object will have to deal with more resistance from the board.

haha, you sound like you know what you're talking about, so I'll take your word for it :P I'll work out the problem based on that, then talk to my teacher about it tomorrow.
