I'd love to know more about "catch a killer by the toe" or "visit HG"

Catch a killer by the toe is covered here, and unfortunately I don't have much else to say or share about it rn because my brain stalled out on it lol

Visit HG is a direct sequel to the HG finding Riley and passing off her address fic, because I am constantly chewing on how things could change with the first meeting having been the moray memory and waiting for it to be written for reals is killing me 🤣

She does know you’re here. It's evident when you eventually stumble upon her relaxing in a leather armchair in a posh sitting room. Her gaze is focused on the door expectantly, and her arm candy is conspicuously absent. 

“Have a seat,” she says, gesturing to the armchair across from her. 

Your teeth grit at the hint of command flavoring her too easy invitation, but your legs are practically shaking inside your armor for how long you've been on your feet. Is that visible? Hopefully not. And you hopefully don't look too relieved to ease your armored body into the chair. You're not up to par yet with your stamina, but you're getting there. Still an idiot for coming here before then, but your curiosity has simmered long enough.

Microstory Prompts

“You’re meant to be helping,” Ricardo sighs playfully and shakes his head as he watches Ronan swipe a mouthful of grated cheese from the bowl.

“I am!” Ronan laughs, perched on the counter, “I’m taste testing?”

Ricardo laughs, “You need to learn how to cook sometime-”

“I can cook!” Ronan protests, “I just… prefer it when you do?” and swallows, “And you know I haven’t even had a kitchen until recently,”

There’s an awkward little pause for a moment, Ricardo reminded yet again of one of the many differences between their respective lifestyles, Ricardo smiles softly, “You can cook huh?” Easily switches away from the awkwardness one of the many skills that’s saved him  and throws a wink, “Next time you’re cooking for me then,”

“Deal”

Ricardo moves a bowl of sliced tomatoes (the one thing Ronan had prepared)  just out of Ronan’s reach as they go to swipe one, chuckles at Ronan’s pout. Then finds yet again he’s staring at their face a little, the sprinkle of freckles across their nose, the shape of their nose, the grey of their eyes and how they look when Ronan smiles, like really smiles like they are now.  their hair currently a deep blue (which they denied had anything to do with the Rangers) and kept in a messy attempt at something resembling a mohawk. There’s new piercings too, a bar through the top of each ear and he’s been doing his best not to catch them.

To think there was a point where he could only imagine what was hidden under the mask.

With a grin he leans in, fingers gently curled under their chin and presses his lips to theirs, Ronan melts into the kiss as his hands run over the back of their neck.

And then Ronan giggles and he pulls back from the kiss to find Ronan with the whisk. “Ronan,” He goes to grab it but Ronan is just a fraction faster than he is, and holds it just out of reach “Ronan” and raises his eyebrows for good measure.

Ronan shakes their head, “That’s not gonna work,”

“But-” Ricardo pouts, “Lunch is on the line!”

“Another kiss-”

“What,”

Ronan grins, still holding the whisk aloft, “Give me another kiss and you’ll get this back,”

“Mapache-” Ricardo sighs, giving his best pout.

It is a very good pout.

Ronan shakes their head with a laugh, “Maybe it you didn’t call me Mapache-” “Mapachito-”

“That’s worse,” Ronan laughs, “I might make it two kisses for that,”

Ricardo winces. “Steep terms-”

And pulls Ronan in for two kisses anyway.

im very tired this morning so imma take it easy on myself and say i've already replied to 🏀 for Leigh the other day here. I'll write a long reply for the other thing anyway.

🔮What does your OC think is their best trait. What is actually their best trait? What about their flaws? Are they one to admit these flaws or do they like to pretend they’re perfect?

Leigh doesn't have a uh, great image of themselves, to be honest. But I think, if they want a simple answer, they'd say their sense of humor. Their villain name is a pun and it's killing them that they can't tell anyone about this, you know?

If they're being forced to really think about it, they might say something like the idea that they're always willing to Try. Hitting any obstacles or difficulties, they'll always at least give it a shot to work through them. It doesn't always work very well, but they have to have tried. Whether this is about a fight, or a friendship, it doesn't matter.

Personally I think their compassion and softness is their best trait. Also the freckles. They've dealt with so much crap, it would've been so easy to turn bitter and closed off and sure, that's their first line of defense, but behind it all, if given the chance, they're still so very soft. So ready to simply love. Disillusioned for the most part, but not without hope, and willing to make shit happen to give that hope something to grow on.

Flaws, on the other hand, they think they have many. Admitting that is something else, though. They're the kind of person who's very open about some things as a way to shield the other scarier or worse crap. It takes some time for them to warm up and be honest.

Also they think they can be easily discarded, and it's a problem, mostly for everyone around them who gives a shit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
