So... did frisk have articulated legs... like prosthetic legs in that last one?

Oh, no no, their whole body is basically like that. Same is the case for Kris. They sort of resemble ball-jointed dolls, but they are still made of flesh and blood. It's just markings across their limbs and torso.

You can see it the best in the summer break drawing I did a while back!

I feel like Kris uses their ability to bend their body in ways most bodies cannot to their advantage. And by that, I mean, mostly just to freak people out.

TW for slight body horror I guess?

Kris absolutely uses this ability to mess with people. Their joints can turn in an unnatural degree but its still in the realm of "believable" (if that's the right word for it). Think of contortionists to get a better understanding of what I mean by it. They are still made of flesh and blood, but they're extremely flexible. In the case of their neck, it's closer to how an owl can rotate its head.

And YES! There is a lore reason for it, but explaining it here would be spoilers.

Too many to count probably after they found out they could do freaky stuff like this.

Are the puppet limbs marks left behind by the strings?

Yes, you could call them that! They are markings on their bodies, but Kris and Frisk are in fact hypermobile. Hence why they can do some pretty freakish contortions in the comic. So far we have only seen two though
