Strange prince who has a fucked up castle and is building a creepy monkey puppet.

This took place in a game but I was also the main character of the game, if that makes sense. So my dad was working for this prince, and he was annoyed by the prince and the amount of things he wanted (the prince was dead set on exactly how he wanted things to be done). My dad told me the prince was trying to build a weird creepy puppet. I later visited the prince somehow, and he showed me the little basement room of his castle. The room was flooded with water, which was one of the main things my dad was helping him fix. I think this castle was also pretty empty, I don't remember seeing a single other person. After some conversation I asked him about the puppet. He said that since it was early in the day, he'd show me the prototype. (Since this is a video game, if I had chosen to visit later in the day he wouldn't have shown me the puppet.) We went upstairs and he showed me a weird monkey head puppet thing hanging on the wall. (It was actually more of an animatronic I think, it ran off of electricity.) Then he made it laugh. The laugh was very creepy and loud and I was pretty disturbed by it.
