About Wes

Wes is half marionette doll (also hes wooden and segmented into different parts) and can’t really move on his own, so he uses the shadows. The first set of arms are pretty much useless and are just tied to the shadows to keep him stable, and the second set he moves around by himself since they’re his actual arms. Black ‘tears’ drip perpetually from his eyes, which are hollow. His makeup is also just how he looks, theres no natural skin color underneath, just wood. 

Since his body is wooden it creaks a lot and makes a hollow thump noise if a limb bumps into another. His mouth can’t actually open.

Hes pretty passive as puppetmasters go. Of course he’d fight back if you managed to get close, but once you’re there at the throne he wouldn’t do much to hurt you. In fact you could do pretty much anything and the chance he’d fight back is near zero.

About his island

Long seasons with warm weather; spring and summer last the longest. The longer summer makes it harder since theres a larger chance things will be lit on fire. Fall is about the same and winter is very short but extremely harsh. Food items are all over the place, including the aggressive mobs like frogs and beefalo (when they’re breeding). But despite the abundance of food, it does very little for hunger, which means lots and lots of gathering to fill yourself up.

clockworks are common place and roam around both in and out of their environments. Theres also new creatures similar to marionette dolls that appear when low on sanity. Winter is when they show up the most, and are rare but still apparent during other seasons. The normal shadow creatures are still there, but theyre mostly just to provide the marionettes with a way to move around. If you can manage to make balloons and set them up around your camp, the marionettes will stay away from the area.
