Is my girlfriend playing me?
She shows me pictures all the time of puppies and dogs that need homes and gives me those eyes, you know them! Between us we have 5 cats, 3 dogs, 2 horses, goats, fish and a mini dinosaur. Every time I'm like no, not because I don't love animals, I obviously do, but because I'm a realist and realistically we don't have the space or the resources at the moment. HBs brother had a baby recently, well he didn't but he helped, so there's a lot of photos of the baby and she goes and spends time with her regularly. Then when she gets home she's all broody and high on baby fumes! Over the last week or so, she hasn't shown me one picture of a dog! So there's me thinking she's finally acknowledged what I've been saying. No! She's wants a baby now! She really wants a baby, she has made that abundantly obvious. This has made me panic!!!!! But having a few days to have a think about it, I feel she is playing me! Is she trying to haggle? By saying she wants a baby she's offering the maximum responsibility and she knows I'll offer under with a smaller responsibility like a dog. She wins no matter what. At some point she will use her feminine ways to sway me to what she wants the most!
