What do you think about if I were to have a qpr partner who was about 7years older than me? I’m sort of conflicted on whether that would be appropriate but really considering it’s platonic I was leaning to the side of it being okay. I haven’t asked my squish about this yet because I wanted to get another opinion on what other aromantics thought. I wasn’t sure because if it was romantic or sexual at all I wouldn’t be comfortable with it but since it’s a very close committed friendship idk?

This is just my opinion, but I think it would depend on how old you both are, just like in any relationship. A 7 year age gap is no big deal if you’re both fully grown adults, but when you’re a teen or a young adult age gaps can create unhealthy power dynamics. A QPR isn’t the same as a romantic/sexual relationship but it is still an important emotional relationship, and has the capability to be toxic or abusive just like any other relationship. Oliver or Ollie, they/them/theirs/themselves, I really like baby cats especially their toenails

Oliver, who also goes by Ollie, is a huge fan of kittens. They love lots of things about kitties, but one of their favorite is itty bitty kitten claws. Sometimes, when they ride their kitten drawn chariot around town, they like to close their eyes and listen to the sound of kitty claws clattering on tiled floors. the kittens love Ollie and are happy to pull them in their chariot.

Whenever I'm filling out applications where gender is a required field and male and female are the only options I get scared and nervous and panicky because I don't know what to put. If it's a medical or legal form I put my AGAB because it's currently my legal gender. Do you have any advice on putting genders on forms/surveys when picking one is severely uncomfortable? Thank you so much

like one time i went to my audiologist and i put down F, but they came in confused and asked me if i identified this way. i said no, but that it is my legal sex. they asked what my gender was and what symbol i’d prefer for this M, X, O, etc. so my forms there say X. but the flexibility there is likely bc it’s a metropolitan area with a lot of trans people -- this wouldn’t work in my more rural hometown.

if you can ask, do so. if you can skip it, and are comfortable w that, do that, and ask later if possible.

if it’s not a legal form, you’re not technically under any obligation to put your exact legal information.

I understand how you feel. One time I had a panic attack after having to put my gender, and in that case, the form gave me room to write my answer, but because I knew my boss would see it, I at first wrote my real gender and then erased it and wrote my AGAB. I also wasn’t sure if they just left it blank due to the format of the form since it was at a place I volunteered at. Of course, I hate when they only give me the option of female and male, which is even worse. On the internet I usually am more honest about my gender if the form gives me another option.

When the form only gives me a choice between male and female, I leave it blank whenever I can. I mean, unless it feels like a very important form, like a medical thing or legal thing. In that case, I usually put my AGAB. I wish there were more options. If it’s a form you can write on, you could also just write what your gender is instead or write “other.” If you feel comfortable saying something to the person administering the form you can also suggest to them to provide more options for gender: at the very least if they provide an “other” option and/or a “decline to state” option or let the person write in their choice, that’s better, but ideally people would include many gender options as well as an other:_____ and decline to state.

How long can I bind with the waist off of compression shorts doubled over for without it becoming unsafe?

as a general rule, don’t go over 8 hours, but you need to work your way up to that (2 hours at a time can be a good start). overall, listen to your body and take frequent breaks.
