Thanks for your question, and any Purdue student can audition, undergraduate students make up the majority of the group but we do accept grad students as well.

how many people will get through the auditions? what happens to those that do?

it always depends, for the 2013 school year we accepted 3 people over 2 semesters, the year previous 3 as well. Since we have a smaller group this year we will most likely be accepting more people. Most likely.

After the Wednesday audition, once everyone has auditioned, we will be calling those who we liked to come back for an interview. Not everyone will get an interview. But those who do, woo-hoo! Interviews are suuuuuuuuuuuper relaxed. The reason why we do interviews is because not only are we looking for a new member of our team but we’re basically looking for new best friends. This group spends a LOT of time together and for hours at a time too, so we do interviews to figure out who is axe-murderer-esque and who is cool. 

At the interview questions will be half- what’s your favorite color? and half- where do you see yourself in five year? We do not discriminate against anyone, all races, all sexualities, all genders and sexes, as long as you can deal with 5 zany people and are a hilarious rock star on stage you’re welcome with us (:
