Hi everyone,
I got to participate in a 1.5 hr long conference call with Natalia Rose and team about the juice fast. I posted some key points on facebook and a yummy hearty juice recipe by Kathy Rooks. here are some of her tips!
1.you should be intaking 6-8 16oz servings of juice per day. Afternoons are toughest for me so I drink most of my juice then...I usually don't drink my green lemonade till 11 or 12 anyway. 2. Do not drink any "all Fruit" juices other than the pulp free organic orange juice or fresh squeezed pulp free orange/grapefruit juice. Reason: most women harbor yeast and yeasty bacteria loves sugar!!! Mix your fruit juice with greens. 3. Bulk up your tea!!! Natalia uses 2-3 different tea bags together (ginger, blueberry...) and adds cayenne pepper, lemon, and stevia in a big mug. 4. Colonic first day and end of fast...day 1 and day 4. Some callers couldn't get to a colonic so she suggests get an enema bag and do it everyday. Enema should take 45 min (3-4 bags of distilled water) but you can break it up to 20 minutes in am and 20 in the evening. 5. Natalia said the hardest part for her is Setting the Commitment! At the end of the phone conference, she said a prayer of commitment. It was great, and I'm going all the way. So exciting BTW, we are part of 200 people around the world participating in this juice fast!

I have wanted to do a juice fast for some time and I am so excited to be doing it with many of you! I have done a juice fast until dinner about a month ago and it was awesome and pretty easy. A lot of this is mental preparation but anyone who is joining in the 3 day Juice fast, here are some things to consider when preparing. 1. Limit grains, eliminate red meat and poultry, eliminate hormone dairy and processed foods . 2.Try juicing till dinner a few days before the fast. Create some more filling carrot based juices for the afternoon. For dinner, create a vegetable soup (Pacific brand veggie broth) filled with cabbage, peas, corn, zucchini, carrots, and tomatoes.(see blog for recipe) 3. The reason for the fast is to assist in moving toward a deeper detoxification, calmer mind, and incredible health! During the fast, we will be giving our body a break from digesting our meals. This gives our body the opportunity to go deeper into the cleansing process. Our body will begin eliminating the accumulated waste that is stored deeper in the tissues and cells of our body. If these toxins are not eliminated from our body, they will be re-absorbed. It is best to schedule a colonic or plan on administering an enema the morning of or the day before the Juice fast. 4. Dinner the night before the fast: Eat a properly combined meal for easy digestion and elimination like Avocado or goat cheese salad with steamed veggies and/or a sweet potato. 5. Prepare your kitchen with the following: -fruits and vegetables for juicing...cucumbers, romaine, celery, lemons,limes, apples, carrots, beets, ginger etc. -coconut water -pulp free organic orange and grapefruit juice -make a vegetable broth or buy the Pacific brand veggie broth. -Herbal Tea -Stevia for sweetening 6. You should be able to do your normal activities during the fast, but do plan some special time for yourself...walk, shop, take a long bath, get a pedicure or a massage. You may find during your fast, that while getting rid of physical waste, some emotional issues may rise to the surface. Be kind to yourself. You all are worthy of this journey to a healthier and more vibrant body and mind. It's time to put yourself first. When you do, you will find everything falls into place or takes care of itself. Trust in this!
Veggie Soup
I did a "Juice till dinner" for 5 days and everyday I ended with this yummy hearty veggie soup. Super Simple!
1 box Pacific veggie broth (or other organic vegetable broth)
1 chopped onion
chopped veggies of your choice ie. savoy cabbage, celery, carrots, bok choy, kale,zucchini, peas, corn, broccoli, cauliflower.
Bring broth and onion to a boil and boil till onions are soft. Turn off broth and add chopped vegetables. Cover. Your vegetables will soften in the warm broth!
Wait 5 minutes and enjoy!
