katieannmalco: @julienrbaker has released her new album Little Oblivions today, and I’m sitting here listening to it with a massive smile on my face, because it reminds me of how I felt in 2015 when I heard Sprained Ankle for the first time. I almost felt like it had been written directly for me, it just really spoke to how I hear and understand music. I’d never heard anything in my life up to that point that made me feel like that to be honest. I was just blown away. After that I was really lucky to support her on her first UK tour - a selection of bad photos from which you can see here. JB’s manager @seanrhorer made us stay at Hotel Football in Manchester which overlooks the stadium. I couldn’t get the sign in the photo it was so fn large. He bloody loves the footy! To see Julien go from those intimate shows to Shepherd’s Bush Empire (also pictured) was truly amazing. And I felt so honoured (understatement) to play at both her Union Chapel show and then a surprise secret show at The Lexington - both of which are amongst some of my most treasured memories. Listening to Little Oblivions now, after everything, just makes me feel at home. Julien is such an outstanding songwriter, not to mention one of the cleverest and funniest people I know. I remember when we first met I tried to impress her with my knowledge about the Spanish civil war for some reason and then she launched into a history lesson on stuff I did not know about that subject and I was like “......so you don’t need me to teach you about the Spanish civil war then? Ok.” Anyway. Happy release day Jules! I know you love to be called that! (02/26/21)

girls: what’s your favourite thing about dating girls?

“They’re mind blowingly caring. Dudes try, hell I try as hard as I can, but you can’t really beat the way girls can be thoughtful and soft towards you, even if you’re being an ass. Women also smell, in a word, amazing, my own girlfriend non-exludent. You pair that with ass and tits, and the way women move, well. It’s a wonder there aren’t more lesbians is all I’m saying.”

“A tie between my mouth and my hips. Mouth for obvious reasons, hips for similarly obvious. Both mean good things are in my future and good things are in the present. Whats not to love?”

You ever meet someone who's just so amazing and kind and somehow makes you smile even when you're having a shit day or is there for you through all your meltdowns and still hasn't dipped out. Or how you can't wait till you get to talk to them again and you literally only have your ringer on for thier specific ringtone? And when you finally hear the text/ringtone you can't help but smile cause they're back and they still like talking to you and it makes you so happy and you cant explain why but you just love them so much and it makes you wonder how on earth you got blessed with such an amazing friend?
