Becuase of the previous anon who said Hop looks like a Glaceon, I've got ideas- so I imagine Hop has a Glaceon, but it's so dainty and the thought of (her?) getting hurt would def break his heart so he never uses it in battle (still a strong gorl). Since he could have caught an Eevee near Turffield, I imagine he did, and it was such a dear that he literally pampered it forever. He's named it Princess, no doubt.
