life  is  stable  in  very  few  ways  to  danny.  the  things  upon  which  he  can  rely  he can  count  on  one  hand  :  his  mother,  his  father,  his  brother,  converse  sneakers,  &  the  knowledge  that  this  identity  is  fleeting  &  he  must  be  ready  to  drop  it  &  assume  another  at  a  moment’s  notice.  his  mother  hasn’t  spoken  to  her  father  in  fifteen  years   ---------  no,  life  certainly  isn’t  fair.

HIGH  SCHOOL  -  with  its  oft-archaic  laws,  &  an  academic  system  that  seems  built  to  fail  (  not  to  mention  the  cliques,  puberty,  &  self-discovery  )  -  IS  THE  ANTITHESIS  OF  FAIR.  danny’s  been  through  enough  education  systems  to  know  this  first  hand.
