PUREFORMESSENCE WITH JON PIERCE!!!
Performing to a jammed packed house at Bourbon on Division, Jon Pierce and Energy Transfer took the audience on a journey through his musical evolution. Opening the evening was Producer, Remixer and DJ Emmaculate who set the tone with soulful rhythms. Vocalists, Mon Aerie and Cherise Thomas. These two ladies have incredibly powerful and strong voices and thrilled the crowd with their renditions of classic house favorites. Fairly new to Chicago House Audiences, I’m looking forward to hearing more from these two talented artists.
Dressed in white, Chicago Artist, Jon Pierce was electric. A seasoned artist and performer, he is able to draw the audience in and take them on a musical ride. The energy and passion he brings to his performances is a complete reflection of who he is as an artist. He never disappoints. Jon Pierce debuted some of his new music, produced by DJ Emmaculate under Terry Hunter’s T’s Box Record Label. His latest single,” I Am” reflects his current creative space. When I interviewed him, he spoke about his desire to embrace new sounds and break out of music boxes. (Check out the interview here) His new music is soulful, eclectic, fresh and still very much house! Closing the evening was Grammy nominated DJ and producer, Terry Hunter who carried the soulful sounds until the end of an outstanding night of music.
Jon Pierce is an artist that loves what he does and that energy is infectious. He thinks about his performances from the outfits, the dancers, and the incredible band. He is intent on giving audiences a complete experience both visually and musically.
