You know what? For you? I’ll make an exception!

The disciple is not above his master; but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Jesus asks us to seek perfection in everything we do, the incomplete does not correspond to God. Jesus is complete and represents in the doctrine of the Kingdom of Heaven the model of person to follow: “Be imitators of God” Ephesians 5:1. Jesus is the son of man, Jesus is the personification of God’s perfections, Jesus is the wisdom (”I am the door”, John 10:9), the righteousness (”I am the way, the truth and the life” John 14:6), the guide of God (”I am the good shepherd” John 10:11). All Christians have the obligation to resemble Jesus, our Lord, as much as possible. The Kingdom of God, the empire of mercy, the government of the good discernment, the dominion of wisdom, is a gradual and progressive path that culminates in the perfection of God's vision: “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God” Matthew 5:8. This is why Jesus explains to us a logical relationship between the teacher and the disciple, because the teacher is more perfect than the disciple: "The disciple is not above his master, but every one that is perfect shall be as his master", Luke 6:40. Some spiritual gifts are typical of the teacher such as the gift of prophecy, wisdom, perseverance, the gifts that allow the correct teaching of the word of God: "And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?. Now eagerly desire the greater gifts”, 1 Corinthians 12:28-31. The Holy Spirit freely distributes the gifts to teach and guide those who are initiated in the faith: "All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” 1 Corinthians 12:11.
“It went well.” He spoke as he walked, sucking his teeth. “Well if you’re asking me if it went perfect then I’m not sure you will get the answer you want.” A forced laugh, like whatever the person was saying on the other line wasn’t funny at all. “I said it went well, I got it done. Any more requests?” Finally making it to the line at the coffee shop, he looked up and squinted at the obnoxiously small handwritten font of the menu. He loved Gigi, but he really ought to stop going on coffee runs to these hipster places just because she showed up to her shift half asleep. His head turned and two people over in the midday rush was someone he remembered speaking to at Rousseau’s once. Unsure if he’d ever gotten her name, he couldn’t forget a face like that. “I’ll talk to you later, amca.” No hesitation hanging up the phone, they stood shoulder to shoulder and he leaned over slightly to lessen the height he had over her. “Excuse me for asking..” A breathy laugh, “What do you usually order? Not much of a coffee man.” @tmrmary
