About three years now. I tried the guitar first, but my fingers are too small! I'm not that great but I really enjoy it!

sorry, i just saw this! 

it's really fun just playing something for personal enjoyment, isn't it? i played the sax & coronet in high school (way way back then), but it was always such a competition that it took the joy out of it for me. so i'm excited to just do this because i like it. 

(also, how cute are you, your fingers are too small for the guitar! I'm sure it's annoying to you, but that made me chuckle.)

you sound like my mom haha but I use the ones from Apple. I've tried other ones, but I think those are the best....although expensive!
