Chikage had heard from the others that Itaru had been feeling sick. So, he had decided that when he came home he'd give him his own special treatment.
When he went inside their shared room, a mask was pulled down to his chin. A tray with a bowl of soup and some medicine was in his hands. "Chigasaki, I hope you're awake since I went through the trouble to do this." When Itaru sat up, he placed the bowl of soup on his bed for him.
"As you know, spices can very well help clear bad sinuses. So I went ahead and added plenty to assure it helps you feel better." Chikage looked awful sure of himself, confidently smiling even.
"Eat all of it. Or else."
“mmbhh...” itaru grumbled fuzzily as he was stirred from his rather light slumber. the moment he lifted his head, the pressure instantly returned to fill his skull once again as he struggled to sit up. confused from his sleep, he muttered, “hm, wha...?”
then the tray was placed on his lap without a warning, and the pressure made him want to curl up and fall asleep again; he was in too much pain to eat. but he couldn’t reject something that his senpai made for him. how often was it that he went out of his way to care for his ill friends? “oh, you made me soup?” he murmured, still sleepy, voice thick from the congestion. “gee, thanks...”
then he flinched when chikage mentioned spices, and he looked away nervously. he had heard about that before, but he wasn’t sure if he was willing to go through all that discomfort. perhaps it would make his sinuses feel better; what should he do? did he want to risk a numb tongue for clearer sinuses, or just request regular chicken noodle soup so he could lie back down and sleep for longer?
then the threat was dropped, and itaru met chikage’s gaze, narrowing his eyes. “or else what?” not like he really had any other plans, anyway.
