Purgatorio, Canto XXX, from Dante Alighieri's Divina Commedia - A vision of Beatrice, radiant and ethereal, surrounded by angelic hosts, as Dante beholds her in awe, illustrated by Franz von Bayros, 1921.
Now that Lucifer's living in the Hotel he can help Charlie brainstorm some ideas for how redemption might work! Problem is that Lucifer's library could benefit from some more modern works about humans…

The Boat of Souls (Dante's Divine Comedy) by Gustave Doré
My literature pet peeve is when books, movies, games, etc said they are based on the divine comedy but only use the layers of hell and ignore how Dante Alighieri made purgatory and heaven. No mountain/terrace/garden/whatever you call it of purgatory or sphares of heaven based on the planets.
My other pet peeve is when the layers of hell are based on the deadly sins and/or represent lucifer as king, that's how you know they don't know shit about the divine comedy.
