There's just two medium sized boxes of chocolates being left on Noudenet's workspace with a note of 'Please do not eat them all in one sitting. -Charibert' As for once it seems the Inquisitor feels giving of more than just snark this particular Valentione's.

A surprise gift of chocolate left on his desk - two whole boxes, even - is entirely unexpected for the ward mage. He’s not used to receiving many gifts (every so often he’ll receive a ‘token’ card when a fan writes something out for every member of the ward) but a quick peak at the card and he understands, if only slightly.

He would have to be careful to not eat it all at once then: not only would he likely make himself sick doing so, there was less chance of him getting gifts in the future if he acted that irresponsibly. Noudenet removed the lid from one box and picked a chocolate to pop into his mouth, wondering then if he should find a way to say thanks. Did he need to give a gift back? What would be a good gift? 

Ah, Charibert was rather fond of things like makeup, right? Well then he’d work something out. Taking a second chocolate he then closed the box and moved both boxes aside, turning to pluck various books from his shelf. He had just the idea now!

“Haa... I don’t own it of my own violation, it’s merely that I cannot in good conscience throw away perfectly usable clothing. No matter how, ah... erm... sinful.” His face is buried behind his hands to help hide the blushing before he quickly shakes his head. “The letters enclosed alongside them however have long since been cast to my hearth. How fair maidens can so boldly put such thoughts onto paper is distressing indeed.”

There's a less than subtle knock upon the door of the mage, despite him having utterly no idea if the man is even awake or coherent enough to hear. Which judging by the lack of such, he opened the door only to be greeted as usual by a bouncing furry voidsent which rendered him unable to do much beyond sigh. He was always the eccentric one. "Noudenet, I have a book that may be of interest to you that I found on the person of a heretic." He was just going to ignore the furry thing scurrying about.

Well, Charibert was about to go ignored until the word ‘book’ hit the younger elezen’s tired ears. Within moments a stack of books is shoved aside to reveal Noudenet’s desk - or what should be a desk, given it is hidden beneath piles of research material - and the elezen that had been taking an impromptu nap there. 

Almost tripping over the books on his way over, Noudenet then scoops up the peeping deepeye before fixing his gaze on Charibert, looking all over for any sign of this book that was spoken of. He was curious, heretics often had such interesting things to dissect and pick apart: his last poison was one concocted by adapting a recipe from one of the convicted.“A book, you say?” He places a hand atop Mono’s head to calm him, near fully awake now that there might be information to be had. “Do hurry and show me, then. I have not got all day.”

There’s a tiny hint of a flinch made to that statement, some nerves starting to fray a little at the statement. Did…did he know? No…calm yourself, Haurchefant, it’d do you no good to react so suddenly now…

“Why, whatever do you mean, Ser Charibert? As you can see, I’m quite well, and have not been afflicted with any sort of illness at all,” he replied, a slight...strain to that smile he put up now.
