Before The Purge (Purgeverse Au)
@jackalclot have a cute, fluffy, completely self indulgent one shot about purgeverse and the sleepover after Shouto gets scared by a supposedly cutesy game

Staring at the computer screen in front of her, the female sighed as her eyes burned. She'd been up all night working on this stupid project, and suddenly, the woman who hired her wanted everything to be different. She had to scrap 10 hours of detailed work, and start all over again. Her head dropped to the keyboard, and a groan escaped her lips.
Her train of thought was interrupted by a cry from the room next to hers, and her roommate and best friend, Shouto Todoroki ran into her room, shaking and sobbing. She shot up from her seat, enveloping him in a hug at the speed of light, combing a hand through his hair. The male sniffled, tears soaking her shoulder.
The male hadn't had the greatest childhood, that was the whole reason she got him out of his family home as soon as possible. Her father was kind enough to give her one of the houses he had paid off, and she moved in with Shouto at age 16. She made sure his father wouldn't be able to find them, but her dear friend was scarred. He had anxiety problems, both separation anxiety and fear anxiety. Separation anxiety so bad, in fact, that the two of them both got jobs they could do at home. They rarely left the house, unless it was for groceries. She was an artist for hire, and a writer. He was fragile, and she managed to get him a job as a beta tester for cutesy games. They calmed his anxiety, and he made good money off every game test.
Snapping back to the present, the girl gently rubbed the male's back.
"Sho, babe, what happened? Did you see a spider or something?" She asked the male, voice sweet and concerned. The male shook, sniffling.
"I-i got a n-new job offer, a-and it was going well, b-but then it was scary.!" He sobbed, and the females face hardened. She gently picked the male up. She was strong for her small size, and the male was surprisingly light. She walked into his room, sitting down in the gaming chair, letting him sit in her lap as she began to write an email to the developer.
Shouto kept his face buried in her shoulder, sniffling as he wiped his eyes, resting against the girl as she furiously typed, something about tagging games better. She sent the email off with a sigh, and sent a smile to the male in her lap.
"Alright, we're done with work for today. Disney marathon with hot chocolate?" She asked, gently combing her fingers through his hair.
"C-can we make a pillow fort too...?" He shakily asked, and the female chuckled.
"Course we can love. I'll go work on the hot chocolate, and you can make the fort, ok?" She set the male on his feet, and with a happy nod from him, she patted his head and headed downstairs.
Her footfalls were silent, and as she made hot chocolate on the stove, she could hear the pitter patter of Shouto's bare feet as he gathered pillows and blankets, transporting them downstairs, and building the fort.
The female poured the hot chocolate into two mugs, walking into the living room, setting them down on the coffee table. Shouto had already completed the fort, but as she climbed in beside him, it came tumbling down.
Shouto looked on the verge of tears again.
"No, don't cry. It's ok, look, we'll rebuild it together." The girl reassured him, helping him rebuild the fort, bigger and better. She popped a movie in, handing Shouto his cup of hot chocolate.
Eventually, the two fell asleep in their fort, snuggled together.
