No “apology” is necessary when it comes to melting me with velveteen alt R&B. It’s a blissful experience that’s always welcome, no matter my mood. In fact, I’m grateful for coming across Vincent Coleman and his new song ‘Apology.’. The Los Angeles based singer songwriter and producer fuses atmospheric production with his emotive R&B soul on the poignantly remorseful hymnal. According to his Facebook profile, Vincent made a name for himself as the lead singer of Vas Defrans, a progressive rock band based out of North Hollywood. Several years afterwards, Vincent decided to go his own way and embarked on his journey as a solo artist, songwriter, and producer. Where he is now must be very different from where he was before, considering ‘Apology.’ and how far away it is from progressive rock. Having missed out on his prior EPs, we were eager to dive into more Vincent Coleman.
