This was cover artist Tara Fernon’s work for the front and spine of Purity: A “Post-Yaoi” Anthology!
Unfortunately, because of text readability issues, Notation did have to re-color some of the blues. We hope that her work was still able to shine through, because it really is exceptional! Thank you so much, Tara, for many beautiful serpents (and very saucy angels!)
It’s the first 4 panels for my comic Sugar Sandwich in the Purity Anthology. Is it the first spicy comic with a kigurumi? Maybe!

A major reason I’ve been a bit scarce lately has been my finishing up a piece for purityanthology! It looks like this is going to be a pretty gorgeous project, so if you’re interested I encourage you to consider buying the anthology. :^)

Welcome to another Purity Artist Spotlight! Today, we’re elated to introduce our contributing illustrator 8080, also known as Teal, an animator from Kansas City. Her delicate but free linework is both deliberate and slightly whimsical. 8080 works in traditional and digital media, as can be seen on her personal art blog.
8080 is a devoted creator. In 8080’s words,
In highschool I actively spent hours online looking for anything containing gay/lesbian characters. I eventually realized that the kind of validation I experienced through finding those narratives could be something I pass on through my art. My goal now is to continue building positive stories and role models for lgbt youth to identify with.
