MEMORY HEADCANONS || NOT ACCEPTING 

♬ - a friend/best friend memory 

In  the  main  timeline,  Sayaka  remembers  vividly  LASHING  OUT  on  her  lifelong  best friend  before  turning  into  a  witch.  Memories  were  suppressed  in  the  wraith  arc,  but  once dying  and  returning  to  Madoka  she  could  only  feel  GRATEFUL.  Having  thought  that making  her  BEST  FRIEND  cry  would  be  the  last  time  that  they  ever  spoke  would  be heartbreaking.  Even  if  she  could  never  remember  it  –  Madoka  could. 

Returning  to  the  arms  of  her  best  friend  would  be  the  best  feeling  in  the  world.  A feeling  that  would  never  be  able  to  be  replicated.  A  memory  irreplaceable. She  sometimes  wishes  that  she  had  DIED  sooner.

           ❛   ... if only.   ❜     a happiness that doesn’t reek of blood. a happiness that is more than just a fleeting moment’s dream. a happiness that isn’t stained with the endless death of life. what would she give for such a happiness? is such a happiness even an option for her? all she has ever desired is for madoka’s sake, for madoka’s life, but despite her weariest efforts, fate seems hellbent on widening the rift between herself and the future she so desperately pursues. even if she tears the flesh from her bone until it blossoms in her shaking hands and crimson dyes her hollow self, it is all to no avail: happiness is something that will forever elude her, and her only reward will be fate’s jeering laughter, mocking her in her perpetual lost wandering.

           (  it’s too late, madoka  —  i have been drowning in blood for far too long to even breathe.  )
