My thriftstore always has things on super clearance when the season changes. I've visited once I recovered from my fever and was blessed by the thrifting gods!!

I found this purple coat (outer fabric made from 100% sheep wool) and was wowed! My favourite colour! An elegant cut with cute buttons. Tag said "M" for medium, so I almost didn't try the coat on. Booooooy am I glad I did!! I figured it looked big and it fits AMAZING! Sleeves could be a tad longer, they ride up when I lift my arms (I'm thinking of maybe adding knit details at the sleeves to lengthen them). But otherwise gorgeous and I got it for 6€ because they wanted to clear stuff out.

The coat technically already fit me but I moved the buttons by 5 cm, so it fits less snug and I could wear more layers underneath if I want to. I had to redo the first button and move it twice, because the first position created a weird flap. Now the coat is again stunning!!

I also really needed a lighter coat for spring and autumn because my current ones don't fit me anymore. I've got a sand- coloured coat I've started to resize last autumn but currently don't have the time & energy to work on it with my new work.

I've also got an old purple coat that I've had for almost 20 years. It's showing the wear, plus it's currently to small as well. I've started to seam rip that coat and want to add additional panels to make it bigger, change the bottom part and cover the worn fabric with a fashion fabric on top. Buuuut for now I'm really happy with my new (to me) thrifted purple coat! 💜
