Preferred types of clothing to wear?

Clothes they would hate wearing?

this is very basic but all of them would like to wear pretty comfy clothes like sweats, hoodies, sweaters, at least while at home.

dream does wear armor most of the time when not actually inside, hes still kind of paranoid and feels unsafe, so he wears armor, sturdy boots, tactical-ish pants with a lot of holsters for weapons and potions, a cloak for the cold and so people dont recognize him as easily.

dream would hate any kind of clothing thats too open, that makes him feel like an easy target or unprotected

he is a bit more fancy sometimes but mostly for his image and a bit of intimidation, he does like to look powerful

punz is a bit more chill than dream, still cautious but not overly so

he wears hoodies, cloaks and coats for the cold, mostly lighter armor (at least later in the au, even though it also gets better for dream over time)

punz is also probably the most likely to wear something like heavy winter skirts (at least later on, im sorry i need this to be canon)

punz would hate clothing thats too restrictive, i feel like they like some more oversized, loose fitting clothes

edit: punz would enjoy jewelry, i dont even know if hed wear it a lot but they do *like* it

purpled is basic and just wears whatever is comfortable or works with his armor but dream and punz do make sure that hes wearing proper winter clothing (like the coat i gave him in my little design doodle of him)

he wouldnt like anything fancy or flashy

could i ask if purpled lives with drunz in your au? does he have a room at their base or does he just sleep on the couch?

yes, Purpled lives with them.

the first few days he does sleep on the couch (partially because they simply dont have a room for him AND so they can keep an eye on him since he was in pretty rough shape) but he gets a room in their base and later on, when they are more of a family and used to live together and have all the stuff established, all of them move into a cottage/house in a taiga biome (relatively close to technos) where Purpled has a way nicer room.

About your purpled adoption au aha hi … I’m curious about like. your take on how good the friendship is between Purpled and Dream—are there any mishaps, or has it always been pretty okay?

ooooh im so happy whenever i get questions about this AU i love it so much

so purpled and dream were kind of allies before (worked together during las nevadas finale) but thats what dream saw him as for the longest time, a mercenary, an ally.

it took until the day punz brought purpled home to them that dream actually had the thought of "oh thats a literal child" and for him to want to help purpled

it is a bit difficult in the beginning because purpled doesnt know how to let people help him, hes used to having to take care of himself, hes bitter and cant trust anyone, he hasnt been treated like a child in years.

so theres dream (and punz) wanting to help him, to treat him like the family he should have and he wants to have a family, he wants to be cared for but it takes very long for him to accept any kind of help or trust anyone even a little bit.

purpled is spiteful and hurt so there is times where he kind of shuts down

dream and punz also have to figure out how to treat him, they dont have the kind of relationship or authority that parents would have but punz is purpleds older brother and they adopt him, they have to figure out home rules and all that without treating him like a small kid since he is a teenager already.

its good that he can be independent, they want him to be able to take care of himself in a few years and being cautious id important on this server but they also want him to learn that he doesnt have to be distrustful of everything and everyone to the pojnt of being paranoid and isolating himself.

so yea there are things they have to get through and learn but dream becomes a big brother figure for him later on and they get along very well, hes one of the only people purpled fully trusts.

How does purpled react at first when drunz try to take care of him? Angry because punz abandoned him but now hes here? Distrustful? Open arms immediately?

Definitely distrustful, Purpled is used to being on his own and having to fend for himself, i mean hes a mercenary at 16/17 at this point in the lore (i know, canon ages are difficult but this is what im going with for this AU) and has been for a few years at least.

His brother was gone all this time, more occupied with his work and whatever went on on the SMP and the last time someone offered him a home and a family he got used by Quackity and was even more lost than before, not even having a place to live anymore.

So hes very defensive. Lots of angst there.

He does want to be cared for though, Dream and Punz just have to actually earn his trust.

PLEASE DO!!! its one of my favorite AUs and i love talking about it!

ill give a bit of a basic overview of the AU here but PLEASE ask about details or anything you want to know!!

So Deam breaks out of Pandoras, he starts recovering with Punz and they start preparing to destroy Las Nevadas to get revenge on Quackity.

Obviously Purpled got screwed over by Quackity (destroyed his place, told him he could have a home, made him move to Las Nevadas to have more control over him and then didnt care about him)

So Dream and Punz hire Purpled to work with them, since he still works as a mercenary

Then the Las Nevadas ending happens and theres a bit more about Purpled spiraling since hes lost his home and all allies (he thought he had friends or something family-like in Las Nevadas but he just got used and manipulated)

Up until here its all pretty canon compliant, i added a lot of detail and character arc but the general constellations are pretty much canon

So its a lot of Purpled angst and i have not fully decided how ill do the beginning of this, so Punz and Dream already see Purpled crash after the Las Nevadas finale and then sometime later one of them (i think Punz) meets him and hes really obviously not doing well, so Punz decides to bring him along to his and Dreams house

(i left it open wether they are siblings, havent decided yet, however both Dream and Punz are kind of big brother figures to purpled in the end, like found family stuff and i think the older sibling dynamic fits way better even when they adopt him than parents would, theyre just not the age parents would be and the authority theyd have would be different so im trying to write it as specifically that dynamic

plus i might decide that punz and purpled are actually siblings, which would give them a lot to work through and fix since Punz wouldnt really have been a good brother to Purpled at all before, while not actively bad he would have been absent)

Purpled is exhausted and anxious but Punz and Dream try to help

So they kind of adopt him and from then on its mostly comfort and fix it and healing because i need them to be happy

One of my favorite scenes is when they take Lurpled to visit Technos cabin. Dream, Punz and Techno are catching up and Purpled gets to see Technos dogs. (i specifically want to make a drawing of that-)
