After I finished the Project Voltage Miku tribute, an idea came to me to do a Kagamine twins version. Somehow, this has become a series. XD This one was actually more difficult than the Miku one, because I didn’t really have anything canon to go off of and had to choose their pokemon and make up their outfits myself. I gave them a double-battle team, so 3 each. This ended up looking kinda Halloween-ish, but that’s very fitting for the Kagamines. Again, I adore the end result. These pieces have been some of my favorites I have ever done!
Divergent Paths I recently replayed Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and something I couldn't help but notice this time around was how the game likes to compare Micaiah to Ike, but really Soren is wayyy more of a parallel to her than Ike is. They have the whole yin-yang-light-dark motifs going, their also both magic users, both the strategist of their respective armies, both have a loved one they'd give the whole world up for and (SPOILERS) both are also branded, and both secretly heirs to nations of Tellius. The thing I find most interesting about these two though, is that despite appearances, Micaiah is actually the more brutal of the two. It's funny how at first, she completely condemns doing horrible, cruel things for the sake of war, but by the end of the campaign (spoilers again) she's over here throwing oil on pegasus knights.
I drew a background!!! Woo!!
I absolutely HAD to draw the AWL cows again. I missed them so much!! They are the best cows ever! The cow breeding mechanics are one of my favorite parts of the game, alongside the child rearing system. It's been so fun to play one of my favorite childhood games again.
I drew both male and female versions of this piece. (featuring male and female children and calves to match!)
Well, this was some fun serendipity! Apparently, it's Basil's birthday, and that works out well because I had just drawn this! Look how cute he is! I love designing overalls!!
So, I had a vision. I think Basil and Ralsei would be good friends, they clearly have similar tastes, hehehhe.
Also, bonus Basil and Omori because I had to.
What is it with Earthbound inspired indie RPGs and having this particular flavor of protag? It amuses me immensely.
Also, dang, I missed drawing a bunch of these characters! (Ness, Lucas, Chara. Especially Chara.)
For a game called ‘Story of Seasons,’ I find it odd how they never bother making seasonal clothes for anyone besides the player. They brought over the outfits for the player from AWL:SE and AnWL but didn’t bother bringing in the alternate outfits for the spouses from AWL:SE. I know they only had them for the girls, not the guys, and that it was only one palette each, but I think if they had bothered to design a few more it could have added so much immersion! I could easily see them being something you could buy from Van for your spouse and access from the wardrobe.
So I decided to try my hand at designing some myself! Starting with little lady Lumina here. I think her dresses came out cute, and I wanted to give her a hoodie outfit as well, because I thought the shape of her neckerchief would translate well to a hood.
