Just when you thought I disappeared...

I'm back!

Where have I been during this long period of time, you ask? Writing my novel, of course!

For those of you who were following my Purpose Project, I not only raised the $1250 I was looking for, I raised even more. I ended up with $1330 overall, meaning now it's time to write my book! I've already gotten 3 pages out of the way and I would LOVE some feedback. The question is, would you like to be the first to preview these opening pages and given feedback? If so, I'll post a sneak peek up on here! :)

Purpose Project Update

Up to $30 so far on my Purpose Project. So what if it's only 2.4% of my final goal, its still incredibly exciting! The best part? Realizing it wasn't any of my family members that donated. It was actually people who don't know me and are interested in this project. What a beautiful world we live in.

We've already begun funding one orphan. I can't wait to fully fund all 5 (maybe even more if we shoot for the stars on this one!). Thank you to whomever it was that made those first donations. It's been a huge encouragement.

Live With Purpose

Two days ago I started one of the most incredible projects I've ever been a part of in my life. I recently became a part of an organization called The Mocha Club, through which I donate $9 a month to fund their orphan care project. After a presentation that they made at my school, i decided to take my involvement even further. 

They started this thing called a Purpose Project. Basically, the idea behind it is that you set a goal for an amount of money to raise and if you achieve it, you do something you've always wanted to, but have never had to motivation (or courage) to follow through with. 

When they presented this idea, I instantly began thinking of what I would do if I raised this money. There was no way I wasn't going to participate in this. Since day one of my involvement with MC I've been looking for more and more ways to get involved. 

So, as soon as I got home, I made my decision. I set a goal to raise $1,250 for their orphan care project and if I make it to that goal by December 15th, I am going to write a 100 page novel. Lofty goal, I know. 

When I was younger I was constantly starting books and never finishing them. I always have this urge to write but haven't truly had the willpower to follow it through. That's where the Purpose part of the project lies.
