Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 69. Today I walked 700m on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 125.59km (40.6% of the way to the next station.)

It’s now Day 8 of the sumo. Tamawashi is 6 wins - 2 losses (win today), Tobizaru is 3 wins - 5 losses (win today), and Ura is 2 wins - 6 losses.

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 68. Today I walked 1.02km on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 124.89km (38.8% of the way to the next station.)

Day 3 of the Nagoya Basho - win number 4 for Tamawashi! No wins for Ura (0-4)or Tobizaru (1-3). They were both up against rikishi of higher rank, and skill. Good matches, though.

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 67. Today I walked 1.2km on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 123.87km (36.2% of the way to the next station.)

Day 3 of the Nagoya Basho brings another win for Tamawashi! At 3 wins, this is more than what he did last basho. No wins for Ura or Tobizaru, though.

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 66. Today I rode 2.6km on the exercise bike and walked 1km on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 122.67km (33% of the way to the next station.)

On Day 2 of the sumo, both Tamawashi and Tobizaru won their bouts, but Ura did not (but he was up against someone who is very, very good. So results are: Tobizaru 1-1, Ura 0-2, and Tamawashi 2-0.

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 65. Today walked 1.13km on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 118.97km (23.7% of the way to the next station.)

1.13km on the treadmill, you say? Is there another sumo tournament on, you say? Yes, there is!

Today is Day 1 of the Fukuoka basho, held in the city of Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is in the northern part of the island of Kyūshū in Japan. Of my three favourite wrestlers Ura and Tobizaru got their arses handed to them, but Tamawashi won his first bout! Considering how poorly he did last basho, let’s hope this is the beginning of a reversal of fortunes.

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 64. Today I rode 2km on the exercise bike and walked 500m on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 117.84km (20.8% of the way to the next station.)

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 63. Today I rode 2.5km on the exercise bike and walked 200m on the treadmill. That brings my total up to 115.34km (14.3% of the way to the next station.)

Shinkansen Stamina 🚄 - Day 61 Today I rode 3.37km on the exercise bike. That brings my total up to 111.14km (3.4% of the way to the next station.)

I have arrived at Okutsugaru-Imabetsu Station in Aomori prefecture. There has been a train station here since March 1988, but it was remodeled and renamed with its current name in 2016 when the shinakansen came through.
