ambroys looks so fun and id love to hear more about him!! do u have any stories about him? i have an oc named ambroise and it cracked me up seeing how different they are
Aw thank you so much!! I certainly have a lot of fun drawing him (obviously haha) so I'm really glad he's entertaining to other people, too.
He's part of an ongoing DnD game that hasn't progressed too far yet, so I don't want to reveal too much about him right away. I'd like the party to find out how much of a fuckup he is straight from the angel's mouth (so to speak).
But here's some small Ambroys-being-terrible moments from the campaign so far:
Not understanding that food costs money
Beating an old man unconscious in an alleyway (because said old man killed him in an alternate timeline, it's complicated), but still accepting an ice cream cone from said old man later on
Refusing to heal a party member until they gave him a compliment
Making a snide comment about "demon spawn" one too many times to the tiefling in the party and getting roundhouse kicked in the face
Subsequently throwing a Radiant Consumption temper tantrum about getting his ass beat by said tiefling, the only time he's used Radiant Consumption so far, because priorities
As the campaign progresses I'll probably talk more about him here, because I've been quietly developing his backstory in my head for the past several months and I would like to show more of it someday!
BUT anyhow, it's funny you have your own Ambroise - it's not exactly a common name! Perhaps best that the two don't meet, though.
who is ur glup shitto
oooh my glup shitto from anything i'm into, huh??? hmmmm.....
probably gryll from kirby's super star stacker!! they aren't really a background character as they are the final boss, and they are also pretty popular despite being obscure (to western audiences at least) but still. love this onions and they're one of the kirby characters i am always thinking about !!
i need some advice on a bug issue!
usually come spring and summer, wasps start showing up in my room. 1 or 2 somehow get stuck inside and i release them. however, this winter we had a very brief moment of warmth before going back to cold weather, and now theres about 10 wasps trapped in here. i guess they all done up thinking winter was over, and then came in looking for warmth.
ive never seen this many at once before and neither of us bother each other, but 10 wasps in the same space with me is a bit too much for my comfort.
if i release them outside during the cold weather, will they die for sure? also, how can i safely catch and release them? im nervous that if i try to catch one, the others might come to try and save them because they think im trying to kill them. and third, are there any other possible options to handle this situation?
(also, i have checked my room multiple times for wasp nests over the years and never come up with anything. since the wasps aren't defensive im pretty sure thats a second good sign that they don't have a nest inside my room.)
If they emerged too early, there isn't much you can do for them anyway. I would just put them outside. I don't think catching them one by one using the usual cup method will make the others defensive, but I'd be prepared to leave the room quickly if they start acting agitated. If it were me I'd probably close the door to the room and open a window and try to herd them out that way if they're too active to try to catch them with a cup. Also I doubt there's a nest IN your room, but there may be one nearby. That many wasps all in one location is definitely not normal. If it's a house I'd check eaves and the attic, if it's an apartment building or rental, I'd report it to the landlord so it can be investigated.
recently we had a ton of fruit flies in our house--from what i could tell, the specific type we had were invasive + not endangered (drosophila suzukii), so we ended up killing most of them. from what i understand, they're bad for farms in america since that species in particular eats fruit early on, rather than eating rotting fruit.
could you confirm this information? most of this was a quick skim of an article, and id like to know if my actions were right or if next time i should catch and release them. ty!!
(also if you can post any nice pictures of drosophila suzukii, id love to see them! even if they're invasive they're pretty cute with their red eyes and stripey butts)
tysm!! ❤️❤️
Yes, they're invasive in the US and they are considered a pest of fruit crops. They cause a ton of damage. Assuming you can ID them correctly, it would be all right to kill them in your house. But they may be very difficult to ID as only males have the characteristic wing spots and the females just look like other Drosophila fruit flies. Plus killing a few in your house is likely not going to stop their spread anyway. They maybe still be reportable in some areas? Not sure, you'd have to look into your state specifically.
But here's a male to admire:

i didn't see the fandom requirement of that ask game so um uh um uh Kirby?????????
HEHE WELL I JUST ANSWERED FOR KIRBY but i'll do it again!!!
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most) marx...!!!
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped) feels illegal to not answer kirby
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave) keke ! she's from kirby's dreamland 3 as an enemy in a few stages.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week) still gryll :]
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave) has to be magolor
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason) susie
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell) susie again

🌄 - What part of the island are you most excited for?
the building up from scratch and terraforming!!! one of my favorite genres of games are them city builders, where you start from scratch and have to do resource management?? (i don't like the ones where you get raided/plan raids ;v;") and i can't believe how similar acnh will be to that. ever since last e3 i've been thinking about how i want to build up my island!! and ever since the last direct ive been thinking MORE because HOO terraforming... makes a Lot of things i wanna do possible!!! so excited and happy aaaaaa
I do adore how this went, every frame has smth hidden in it. It was also the first few times i tried my hand in animating something!
Few of my favorite frames :^)!
