Inktober day 10 is the Pushmi-Pullyu This critter by Hugh Lofting is a "gazelle/unicorn cross" with two heads at opposite ends of it’s body. It usually only uses one of it’s heads to talk, reserving the other for eating. This way it can eat while speaking without being rude. It claims that it’s great-grandfather was the last unicorn.
When I started these socks, I had intended to use the rainbow variegated yarn shown to the right. The pooling was a bit too crazy even for my tastes, so I had to switch gears and use a speckled self-striping yarn with pin stripe accents of the variegated. I am liking this combination much better.
