Time for uninterrupted stripes and seamless knitting in the round. The No Heel Turn Sock Pattern is finally written up. (Please excuse the makeshift cardboard sock blockers...)

This sock knitting pattern does not require to work a heel-flap and there is no need to pick up stitches.

The heel in this pattern is created simply by working increases, followed by an equal number of decreases.

If you are able to knit on double-pointed needles in the round, you are confident to work k2tog and ssk decreases, and you have toyed with the idea of getting into sock knitting, this pattern will be a beginner-friendly entry into the wonderful world of top-down vanilla socks.

Travel Knitting

No matter what I’m designing, socks are my go-to travel knitting. These have a few extra bells and whistles… 1x1 cuff ribbing, eye of partridge heel flap, and more 1x1 ribbing in the gusset.

I had to try the Hermione's Everyday Socks pattern at some point. Just to see if it really is as good as everyone says. And yeah, it definitely is. Super nice fit. The pattern repeat is short enough that you just wanna knit one-more-row. And the instructions are very clear. But oh my was it weird to knit from the cuff down. I haven't done that in years. It's probably still not my go to. But if I ever have a variegated yarn again, I'll probably consider this pattern, because it does fit very nice with the color changes. It's cold out there! So it's a good thing this Bigfoot has some cozy socks that actually fit! This Bigfoot is a gift for a friend (who has named him Biggie) but finishing him and his little socks has me excited to make and create cute things again.
