Putra Mosque: The Mosque With A Pink Dome
The Putra Mosque is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. The mosque is located on Putra Square, adjacent to the Putrajaya Lake, which is a man-made lake designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city as well as to accommodate fishing, water sports, and water transport. The Putra Mosque was completed in 1999. It takes its name after the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj. It is one of the few pink mosques in the world.
